1967, and the car behind the Beetle is some kind of Mopar maybe?

I was going to go with 1968, based solely on the fashion and photograph. Maybe a scoche earlier. I can't date the cars.

VW bug and Olds 88. Picture probably taken late 60's based on clothing style.

I don't like the tail lights for that of the Olds. I was thinking Pontiac Bonneville, but I don't think that's right, either.

I can identify the big Chevy as a 1966 Caprice. There is probably some detail visible on the Beetle that identifies it as a specific year, but I am not any kind of aficionado. Going to go out on a limb and say it was 1968 because not everyone was trading in their cars annually like they did in the 50's.

Best guess so far. It is a 1966 Chevy, but not a Caprice. The Bug is brand new but as far as I can know, there's no distinguishing features that tell the year. You're early on the year.

I'm guessing that's an Impala, and this was taken in the 70's. Cool photo.

Yeah me!

My mom had an Impala of similar vintage.

Ha, you are right. I would have put money down on Caprice because of the optional vinyl roof and chrome trim ring on tail lamp, but a quick research shows that Caprice tail lamps had horizontal chrome strips. FWIW, I was born that year and don't really remember them all that well ;-)

Good excuse. I wasn't yet a glimmer in my old man's eyes, so I had to check with him to get the exact specs. I'm pretty sure a '66 Impala shared many parts with a Caprice.

Sure wish my dad still had that one. He said he could squeal the tires a 35mph.
